What Happens After You Complete The Sale
To a dealership, there are two areas of the automobile deal;
the front end and the back end. The front end is where
the car is selected, test drive is taken, price is agreed
to and where most people think the deal ends. The back end
is all that extra stuff that happens in the finance managers
office.
The extra stuff can be rust proofing, under coating, extended
warranties, and all the other gimmicks that dealerships use
to pump up the final price of the car. The least which may
be the extras included in financing as tacking on interest
points to what the real lender will loan. Anyone that has
had some problems with credit is a mark for this practice.
The back end, at many times, may be more lucrative that the
actual deal for the car in the front end.
There may even be times where the cost of items are conveniently
slipped into the payments with little information. Don't be
a victim to this practice as all of the items can be purchased
after the fact and as well as negotiated no different that
the cost of the car.
